What are trying to achieve? Please describe in detail.

We are trying to use port 22 to be used as an SFTP port for active transfer gateway. We are able to create this port but when we are enabling this, it doesnt enable and show as listener port is not running

Do you get any error messages? Please provide a full error message screenshot and log file.

can provide some screenshots where you are trying to create and enable the port, please?

Remember that any port below 1024 requires root access (admin rights on Windows) to be activated.

Most times the port 22 is already bound to the sshd service (esp. on Unix systems) for accessing the system itself via SSH/SFTP connection and therefore cannot be used for custom applications then.

Here is the screenshot from MFT when trying to enable/activate the SFTP port 22 we created on ATG.

If this is somewhat reserved port, are there any way or configuration on ATG that we can do so that external partners can still connects to us using port 22?

the popup in the upper right on your screen shot refers to the log files.
Can you check these and provide us the complete error message, please?

Hi Holger,

I was also trying to find which logs files this refers to, but i can only find the ATG logs(ActiveTransfer.log) with below information. Do you know if there are other logs this error pertains to?

Hi Paul,

in profiles-directory there should be a wrapper.log for your server instance.
And under the logs directory of the server instance itself there should be a server.log file.
