  • 1.  ACS System Request (Shift-Esc) Failed.

Recently using a terminal session, I pressed shift-Esc and nothing happened. I use it all the time.  I made do with a right click to bring up the pop-up keypad and clicked the SysRq button.  When I had time, I went back to the keyboard map.  I deleted the current entry for System Request and saved the file. I went back to remap it to shift-esc and ended up with Shift (left).  Odd, but it works. The only change from when it was working as a Windows 11 update.  I was going to call it a PTF, but that would be cheeky.

    Dear David

There was a past thread on a problem with SHIFT+ESC key combination (but with a different symptom).  The cause was that "The laptop comes with the "Intel Management and Security Status" program installed and I inadvertently discovered that in one of the options the Shift + Escape keys were mapped as hotkeys, I have changed that option and now everything works perfectly."

You can try pressing SHIFT+ESC while there is no 5250 session running to see if any other SW product is invoked or not.

@SATID SINGKORAPOOM, I tried the shift-esc in Windows 11 and nothing came up. I recall making changes while still on Windows 10.
