Accessing MWS portlets and tasks from the oudside (like third party portals)

  • 1.  Accessing MWS portlets and tasks from the oudside (like third party portals)

    Hello,

is it possible to access my webMethods assets like portlets and tasks from other applications like web portals and third party application servers like Tomcat?

Our customer wants to include custom built CAF portlets and the task inbox for a user into his own web based portal solution. This topic may include single sign on support.

In my oppinion it should be possible to tunnel HTTP request through an application server that is communicating directly with MWS without the need of actual accessing the MWS by an end user.

Alternatively, it should be possible to include the MWS assets via an HTML Iframe, which is no preferred solution.

Does Software AG provide examples or best practices on this? Or did any of you ever have experience with a similar demand?

    Best Regards
    Matthias

    Hello Matthias

My suggestion is: Build and expose in IS the services to provide the information needed by the Customer Web Application (tasks inbox, etc).

You may avoid a lot of issues regarding security and look and feel.

    Best regards.

    Norberto.
