    Hi, this is my first post. Can you give me an advice please?
    When I installed the RPM packages listed as prerequisites for installing Netcool on the site below, installation failed with two RPMs.

    1.libjpeg-6b-6.aix5.1.ppc.rpm
    2.xft-2.1.6-5.aix5.1.ppc.rpm

    Libjpeg seems to be an error due to a conflict, but the conflicting files are also prerequisite RPMs and cannot be removed. And I read an article that says xft  errors are caused by file corruption. However, the package itself was transferred as a tar file, and I'm using the same package as before, so I don't know what the problem is. I have attached the log, could you check it?

    AIX version is 7.2 and the same package was successfully installed on AIX 7.1. Is there any information that this pre-installation RPM cannot be used in 7.2?

    This document is old, may not work for AIX now. These rpms are very old. 
    If the requirement is to install gtk , then you can look into the below article.

    I understand that the document I was referring to is old. I will try to install gtk by referring to the site you taught me.
    Please tell me one more thing. If I want to redo the installation, should I delete all the RPMs I installed this time? Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to reinstall.

    We always recommend users to use dnf to install the rpms. You can look at the below article.

    thank you for your reply. Our server needed python2.7.5 installed, so I manually installed them. The installation was succeeded and the problem is resolved. Thank you for your support.
