    about a week ago i lost the managed server. Since this was a very new system I did not have a chance to make a backup.
    Somehow I managed to get the 7310CR3 HMC v6.1.1 to see the managed server again but there were a lot of glitchy things going on. The big thing was that I could not ping my vio lpar from the nim master or the aix lpar but i could ping the NIM Master from the AIX LPAR and vice versa. Also when i try to assign my eth2 as a gateway device and then reboot it never saves the change so it keeps bumping me back to "any" inside the "Customize Network Setting" menu.

    I have sent screen shots of my lsattr -El ineto from all my lpars's to IBM but have not heard anything back.
    if anyone has any insight to share I will be very gratefull.
    I tend to think since this is only a test/dev system for now I should may be reload the vio again but i am a newbie and not very sure of myself..
