But I get a warning when I run TYPE TREE Maker.

    quote:8029b17a42Warning 43 reference 2251: Analysis warnings occurred[/quote:8029b17a42]

I tried exporting the tree and just change the NEWTREE Filename details and the run TYPE TREE MAKER but I still get this warning.

The manuals dont have any information on Warning 43

    Can anyone help

If the error is on the export how can I determine where the error in the XML is, the warning 43 probably means something, but what ?. My smallest file is over 2000 lines long so crawling through that would take far more time that I have.

When I get around to doing the change it seems it will be quicker to do the change using the GUI rather than the as I had hoped tweak the XML

Uness someone out there could point me at what 'warning 43' is, knows if there is a problem with either import of export, or has any other bright ideas.

Try opening the xml in Internet Explorer to check it's validity.

I export from Type Designer to an MTS file then Import back again into Type Designer (specifying Type Tree Maker) and get the warning 43.

IE reads the exported file OK, well as far as I can tell.

I've ow tried with several files where the MTS is in the region of 7 to 10k lines. Each time I get the warning at around line 2k to 2.5k. I was wondering if I had come across a limitation of number of bytes, nesting depth or something else.

    Any other ideas ?

BTW I know nothing about XML !

Looks like I'll just have to live with it and do the changes long handed.

    Thanks for the replies though

If I remember correctly, that warning means that the tree was built successfully, but there were analysis warnings afterwards.

Try opening the tree and performing both a structural and logical analysis and see what you get. In any case, you should be able to export to an .mts and then immediately reimport it without running into problems.

Hmm... Does the tree analyze cleanly before you export it? I can see where that could cause the export to be invalid to begin with.

The tree is created and analyses OK.

I did a little more playing and discovered the warnong 43 occurs for trees that analyse with warnings (sometimes you just have to live with em).

    Thanks again
