    Hello everyone.
I am new to SPSS which also will have to learn more about it.
However, I have this job in a short period to complete. Which is within 2 months.
I have no idea on what test should I use based on multiple variables I have.
I wish someone could help me out on what test to be used and to perform on the SPSS.

The problem that I have is:

I have six different treatments to 60 plants. Where 10 plants for each treatment.
    Lets say, treatment A, B, C, D, E and F.
I also have recorded the data for each plants. Which is daily record for 50 days.
The data which I have recorded the height of plants, pH of soil, soil moisture and leaf measurement was taken.

So, I wonder what kind of test is suit the best to perform my analysis?

And if you have any assistance on link of notes would be good too.

    Thank you very much.

The answer depends on what your research question is. What is the question you want those data to try and answer?

Hi Rick. Thank you for responding to my problem.
Yes, I forgot to include the research question as well in my problem. Sorry.

The overview of study I'm conducting is, I have a plant species (60 plants) which I need to study the effect of treatments (6 treatments) over the growth of the plants over three different period; pre drought (20 days), post drought (20 days) and recovery phase (10 days), which sum up to 50 days in total. The measurement of plant's height, root length, leaf length, soil pH and soil moisture were taken everyday for 50 days straight.

So, the research questions that I have here are:
    i. does any of the six treatments have significant effect to any of the multiple variables (including plant's height, root length and leaf length)?
ii. does any of the six treatments have significant effect to the moisture of the soil and pH of the soil?
iii. does moisture of the soil and pH of the soil have significant effect to the growth of the plants (including plant's height, root length and leaf length)?

As a conclusion later on, I can determine which treatment suits the best for plant's growth.

Thank you for your time sir.

Your research questions don't mention time, but I'm assuming given what you wrote that each plant was measured three times - pre, post, and recovery.

Given that, it sounds to me like you have:

    - Dependent measures: height of plants, pH of soil, soil moisture and leaf measurement
    - Independent measures: treatment(6) and time(3)

Looks to me like a repeated measures analysis (General Linear Model, Repeated Measures)
The within-subjects measure is time in 3 levels (pre, post, recovery)
The between-subjects measure is treatment (6 different ones)

Thank you for your knowledge sir.
Yes! I will definitely look into it and try it out.

Thank you again for helping me.
