  • 1.  Deactivation of the Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository (SPSS 29.0)

I'm having difficulty deactivating or turning off the Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository. The documentation states that "Save" and "Save as" options to save to my computer should be available when doing those functions, but exporting  files ( .sav, .xlsx, .txt, *.*) shows only the dialogue box for "Store File to Repository".

How can I fix this and revert to the "Save" or "Save as" to my local computer?

A colleague recommended that you install this fix, and see that takes care of the issue.

    Thank you.

    The hot fix "29.0-IM-S29STATC-ALL-IF004.zip" worked.

    Hi Linda,

I'm having some confusion about the behavior you are describing:
    - Are you saying the "File -> Save" and "File -> Save As" menu items don't exist?
    - Are you saying they exist but there is something odd or wrong about these menus?
For example, these menus appear greyed out when the Data Editor window is empty.  Resolve this by opening some data via "File -> Open" or "File->Import"

The "File -> Repository" menus are a default functionality of IBM SPSS Statistics, whether you actually use the Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository or not.  These menus should always be present.

There were a few issues related to the IBM SPSS Statistics user interface in version 29.0.  These issue are now resolved by 29.0-IM-S29STATC-ALL-IF004

See the following "Known Issues" for details on these problems.  Just know, 29.0-IM-S29STATC-ALL-IF004  addresses all of these (there is no reason to apply IF002).
DT171812: SPSS Statistics 29 can't select functions on "Transform->Compute Variable: If Cases" dialog.
DT149109: "Save As -> Excel no longer shows export options on Statistics 29.0 for Windows and macOS"
DT169190: "Data Editor: 'File->Save As" dialog lost the "Save", "Paste", "Cancel", and "Help" buttons'
