Hi Akshay,
Data Rules don't actually change data, they check if certain conditions are fulfilled ("Data rules evaluate and validate specific conditions associated with your data sources by binding data rule definitions to physical data.", see: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cp-data/4.6.x?topic=rules-data ).
In your case, the rule would just check for every row if it is true that whenever COLUMN1 holds a value of 'X' then COLUMN2 holds a value of 'YY'. The rule serves to find possible quality issues but not to actually remedy them. For the remediation you would need another tool, e.g. DataStage.

Subject: regarding DataRule In IBM CP4D 4.0
I have created one rule i.e IF COLUMN1= 'X' Then COLUMN2='YY' , it will take all record with 'X' of column1 and change column2 value to YY ? is it correct or is there any other way to read the statement. I have applied the rule but its not showing the correct output
