Hi Daniel,
1) Yes, you can use same database user name as your Log Processing Database username.
But it won't be a good idea, so it will be better if you use 2 users, 1 for Log Processing, 2nd will be your regular database user.
Remember your both users must have all privileges.
2) The TNS for log processing will be as same as your regular database user.
But if you configure log processing at downstream database then need 2 TNS, 1 for main database and another for downstream database.

Subject: Question regarding Local Log Reading on Oracle Xstream
Good day:
I am new to Oracle Xstream agent. I configured the agent but it connects as Target only, not both. I suspect I'm wrong in the Log Processing Database configuration and I have the following questions:
1) The Log Processing Database username can be the same regular database username?
2) What is inside the Log Processing TNS? Can someone share with me a sample to see what do I have to expect in that file?
PD: My database is Oracle 19c, and it is not pluggable. For this first test, it does not have TDE enabled.
Thank you so much.
