  • 1.  Mask data in Google Cloud

    Hi Team,

    We have requirement to mask data in Google cloud platform. i don't see option to create DB alias for GCP Big query. 

    is there any way to perform masking on GCP Big query? has any ones achieved this?

    Hello Rajesh,

    You can use IBM Federation Server 11.5, JDBC Wrapper to Connect to Google Big Query, Create Server and Nicknames, Optim will in turn connect to this datasource as a DB2 database connection. Steps are similar to how you connect to DB2 iSeries.


    PS: We have not tried it but with Federation Server extended data source support we have used Optim to connect to unsupported databases
