Archiving on Linux crashes when setting Storage Profile iFix-160A

    Hey All,

While working with a customer and upgrading their Optim to the most recent iFix (160-A) on Linux and Windows we found a problem.  If a storage profile is specified the archiving process abnormally terminates.  This feature was introduce in one of the iFixes.  The FP 11.3.0.8 update works fine, but after applying the iFix 160a the problem occurred.

My question is if anyone has come across this and/or are aware of a fix for it that may not be published yet?

Currently, a workaround is to archive without a storage profile and then use the command line utility to add the storage profile to the archive file.

This is reproducible and for those interested here are the general steps to reproduce:
    • Install Optim 11.3.0.4 on Linux and Windows
    • Use IBM Installation manager to update both Windows and Linux to 11.3.0.8
    • Download and apply the iFix OPTM-11.03.00.08-160- for Windows and Linux
    • Use Oracle for the Optim directory and DBAlias
    • Set up a storage profile
    • Build an archive request using the sample tables
    • Run the archive either from command line on the linux or use the windows GUI to connected to the Linux server.

    Cheers,

    Tammy
