Thanks Carl for your sharing!
Again, if Magneto is something in the context of IIAS, what is its role?
When I look at the online IIAS docs for its features/deliverable, there are many things unclear to me. Do you have a link to the docs you may be reference to for its architecture/features?
Thanks,
Daniel

You mention Magneto so that has me a little thrown off but to test call home within IIAS
You can run the following test to verify: To test call home "ap issues --generate_test_alert" one could check status and progress either by looking at the "ap issues"- command "ap issues" to find the issue number for the test event - command "ap issues XXXX" could also tail the call home log .... - first need to find latest current call home log "ls -ltr /opt/ibm/appliance/storage/platform/ras/callhome/log/callHome - tail the current call home log "tailf /opt/ibm/appliance/storage/platform/ras/callhome/log/callHome/callHome.0.log" after testing is done, please issue command "ap issues --close_test_alert

Hi there,
The term Magneto is new to me, especially in the context of IIAS, the next generation of Netezza, and the Call Home.
IIAS doc says "You can test the Call Home service by triggering a test alert in Magneto......", however, it seems the term Magneto is not relevant to the Call Home in the context of Netezza. What is the Magneto in the context of IIAS and the Call Home?
Thanks,
Daniel
