  • 1.  DB2 v9.1 Error Installing on Windows Server 2022

    I am experiencing some errors in installing DB2 v.9.1 Express C on a Windows Server 2022 Standard Edition.

    The issue is that when I start the installation wizard, the wizard return an error message. Looking the log event that the installer generates, it return this:

    Db2 V9.1 support ended 30th of April, 2012 - more than 12 years ago;
    Db2 V9.1 prerequisite was Windows Server 2003.

    What makes you installing obsolete program product?
    What makes you thinking that Windows Server 2022 will be backward compatible with Windows Server 2003?

    "You may get the error during Db2 installation when you are not installing a Db2 product compatible with the operating system"

    You should download and install Db2 version 11.5 Community Edition instead of Db2 Express C.
