We are searching for the Product Code for DB2 Advanced Edition (Virtual Processor Core)

The associated license file is db2adv_vpc.lic

The product code is typically 7 characters.

We are trying to get away from the complicated PVU based DB2 AESE (E0HPVLL).

If anyone has purchased DB2 Advanced Edition, it would really be helpful if the product code could be shared.

    Hi Terry,

in the last years IBM was more and more successful to hide this information well for the uninitiated.

I spent more then half an hour now, finding this straw for you in this haystack and finally gave up. And I was working for an IBM Business Partner for 25+ years!

Anyway, call this sales guy, which comes nagging about maintenance renewals every year and give him this task. Sometimes it is not so easy to find the right license part humber due to your maintenance history and maybe implicit conversions. Your IBM Sales partner can get a report from distributors and find this out for you.

    Cheers

    Roland

    Hello Terry,

In my understanding the Db2 code is the same one, only the license is different.

    For example, in the link:

    https://early-access.ibm.com/software/support/trial/cst/programwebsite.wss?siteId=1120

    It says:

Now if you need the activation key part number, please refer to the following link at:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/957531

    I hope that helps!
