    In some instances, it may be necessary to replace the Java Runtime Engine (JRE) included with IBM Transformation Extender (ITX). Reasons for this may include: To resolve a known bug To mitigate a reported vulnerability To gain additional functionality To ensure compatibility with other software In this video I will demonstrate how to accomplish the upgrade on both the Windows and Linux platforms using both real and softlinked JRE drop-ins.
