Actually we have added code and codeset (via database) to validation.
The codesets are specific for L5 where you have to load them into a database. The database could be MongoDB or any relational database with JDBC driver.
The code affects L3 and L4 with a few in L2. This allows some existing rules to be turned/on and off, It also allows certain new rules to be added without touching the Type Trees. They are in JSON format.
L7 also allows rules to be added via C or Java; making it more flexible.
These changes apply to hipaa_data_compliance which came out in pack 10.1

Hi Cesar,
I'm no Stephanie by any means but I did get to meet her in person at TechExchange this last September! All of the 1-7 WEDI Snips are handled in the tree definitions. This link (I chose 10.0 - you can change to your version) is to the official documentation on the WEDI Snip validations performed within the healthcare EDI pack.

Violations to rules cause map warnings and failures that are reported in the configurable logs and trace in both Run Time (Flow Server, Launcher, Command Server) and Design Studio.
Happy reading!

Hi, Stephanie thanks for the contribution. I'm newbie using IBM Sterling Transformation Extender but implementing a healthcare solution using this product since a year ago. My question is if it's possible to configure and run the basic levels 1-4 as well in Design Studio. I really appreciate in advance for helpful documentation to run HIPAA WEDI/SNIP types 1-4 Validation from Design Studio. Thank you!

Virtually join lead health care architect Ruth Wiegand as she explains how to configure and run the advanced validation levels in the HIPAA Data Compliance utility. This 11 minute video shows how easy it is to set up!
