Mine looks like this. If it is the same, then there could be a bug in your version and you need to open a case to report it.

The below screenshot has how we use the Mapping.
In ISTX the output has "[{" at the begin and close tags at the end. But in ITX we don't see those additional barackets.

Assuming you are using Design studio, I think I have seen this error. It has to do with where you specify the Type in the Output card. There are 2 Json there, Try to pick the first one (parent), not the second one (Child) and see if it fixes the issue.

We are facing an issue in the JSON output in ISTX 10.1.1.1.
Issue Description:
We have been using JSON metadata for a output.
The JSON metadata starts as below
Begins with "{"x": [{"
at the end we have additional " ]" (space and square bracket)
After map execution in the output file also we could see the above mentioned value in the begin and end of json file.
But in ITX we don't these values in the output file.
For Eg:
ISTX:
{"x": [{
{ "TransactionType"
ITX Output:
{ [{ "TransactionType"
How to suppress "{"x": [{" this kindly help on the same.
