    hi Preeti

these are relationships in match 360, where you can define relationships between records, as you require but completely optional.

E.g. you might wish to define a relationship between two persons, where one person is the spouse of the other; or you may wish to define a relationship between a person and an organization, where the person is an employee of the organization, etc.

1st you create the relationship type you want in your match 360 data model (then publish), 2nd you add the relationship data. You can bulk load relationship data and/or add relationships via the UI.

Take a look at the match 360 documentation here: https://dataplatform.cloud.ibm.com/docs/content/svc-welcome/mdm.html
& search for: "relationship type" "match 360" , (include the double quotes to narrow the search).

    Hi John,
So John what are advantages of defining such relationship in our data dataset, will it improve matching or it will help in giving better view of data in exploration part ?

This is my understanding: the relationship information is not currently used by the matching algorithm, though it may be in the future.

Relationship information can be added to aid business consumption of data, data exploration, relationship analysis, relationship exploration, BI, AI modelling, etc. It will give you a more complete 360 degree view of the data you are matching/mastering. It can be useful in many different use cases across different industries; e.g. fraud prevention, cross selling, etc. It can be useful in further de-duplication activities; e.g. is this person the same person, or are they just related, with very similar attributes overall, etc.

Adding relationship data to your match 360 model is an optional activity. It would be done to support a business use case.
