First implementation would be for Data modernization.
Surely we are looking at  self-service access to data in real time and at scale without creating redundant data.
Another main point is Data Ops; access critical data  without exposing sensitive data.

    Hey Chiara!

So glad to see you on the Community forum again 😁

These are two great examples of our current use cases. Thinking about both Data modernization and Data Ops that you mention, have you had a chance to implement either of these? Does Cloud Pak for Data have all the resources you need for easy, accessible implementation?

Yes, being able to secure data on multiple dimensions is critical. For example securing which assets/tables any given user can see, plus layer in row level authorizations based on search criteria, such as limiting user view to only certain countries or companies within the data. Be able to create one interface/dashboard/report that many can use, but then the data the user sees is only what that particular user is authorized for. Critical use case.

This is great feedback Jim, and it something that we have heard from others in this installment of our Innovation Jam. I believe that it is a feature/capability that our design teams are working on currently. May we reach out to you for further insight in future?

Thanks Jim! I will try to connect our design team who I believe are working on this idea with you. They may want to pick your brain!

Like for most IBM Infosphere DataStage users it is very simple, DataStage 11.7. will be the last Version not running in CP4D and it of course has an End of Support. So my customers will have to go to CP4D if the don't want to switch to one of your competitors. So my client and I (as a consultant) have started to check how to run our legacy on Prem processes in CP4D and amend the processes that will not be supported anymore (DataStage Server, Basic, deprecated stages) or will change (like watson pipelines instead of Sequences).
