  • 1.  Using Localized Dimension Attributes in PAW Workbench

    Posted 18 days ago

    Hello everyone,

When I use localized Dimension Attributes for dimensions in PAW to give them different language-specific names, this leads to a problem in the Workbench.

In the Rules Editor and also in the TI-Editor the local name is used for any autocomplete function.

However, I cannot save the rule with this localized name (thank goodness). Saving leads to an error here because the dimension element is not known.

In the attached screenshot you can see the cube "LocalDimensions" which has dimensions TEST_RFR_1 and TEST_RFR_2, that are localized as "Deutsch 1" and "Deutsch 2" for language "de", which is also my browser setting.

Is this problem known and if so, is it already on the roadmap?

My current workaround is to switch the language settings of my browser, which might not be the best solution for everybody, as these settings are sometimes not editable for a user.

    Thanks & Best regards,

    Rainer

    Hi Rainer,

The Captions are not supported in the script either in Rules or in TI Processes.

It is not on the roadmap.

    Best regards,

This sounds like a defect to me.  The auto-complete function in TI and Rules should not suggest localized names for objects.  Svetlana and I will investigate.
