  • 1.  Framework Manager as bridge between SAS and IBM Cognos Analytics

    Hi,

    Has anyone tried configuring SAS ODBC as source in Framework Manager, publish package and able to consistently refresh data set (created from the FM package) in Cognos Analytics? 

    We are having problem trying to refresh the data set in Cognos Analytics. The error prompted intermittently (added some attachments in this thread), and if it doesn't then the data set will be refreshed successfully. Also, intermittently, when sampling data in FM, it will crashes FM (I believe it's the same reason as well trying to do data extraction)

    Have logged this to IBM support but its not going anywhere still (plus they keep saying that SAS ODBC is not really supported) - will share the details if there is any reply to this thread

    Hoping to find someone that has encountered this or know what's the exact fix to this as this has been bugging us for very long time

    Any chance you can connect to SAS with a JDBC driver and do some tests?

    The JDBC driver route will not work as it is not supported and you will receive an error to that effect.​
