Dashboard Drill Thru Report - need multi-select, no re-prompt on report

    Issue -

    On my dashboard there are many filters, all mapped to a drill thru report.

    These filters are defined as multi-select, and not-required. Issue is that I have to select at least 1 value from each filter on the dashboard, or the report will show the 'prompt box' to select, prior to showing the report.

    I tried editing the report and setting the values:

    multiSelect="true" selectValueUI="listBox" autoSubmit="true" required="false"

    but the above did not solve my requirement.

    Any help or insight is appreciated, as I am struggling to solve this.

    Is there a method to drill thru from dashboard to a report, and not having to select a value in the dashboard's (multi-select) filter?

    Environment: Cognos 11.1.7

    Hi Mary,

    how did you set up the filter conditions in your target report?

    I have no similar setup here to check at the moment. Therefore, I can only give a general advice::

    If Cognos prompts you for a parameter that is used in filters is not reflected by the prompt boxes and their "required Yes/No"  setting. You have to check your filters in your query and set them to optional if you don't want to be prompted when running the report. Another solution would be to apply a default value for required filters
