Hi Anssi,
Unfortunately, the setup you describe is not supported.
It would require you to install the certificate used on PA Cloud on the on-prem CA server. However,
handing over the certificate would poses a security risk, which is why IBM cannot do that.
You can open a ticket with IBM Support to get it confirmed. It could be that something has changed recently, you never know.

Subject: Creating a connection to PA Cloud from CA on-prem
Hi,
My client is running on-prem Cognos Analytics (newer than 11.0.7, not sure of exact version, but not 12) and would like to connect to their PA on cloud ( not sure if that is still the correct term, but they have the <client>planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com URL ). The documentation I can find is not exactly comprehensive (the best I could find was https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/configure-datasource-ibm-planning-analytics-20x-ibm-cognos-analytics-1106 ), so if someone has made this work, I would be grateful for some tips:
- Is this even possible?
- What is the Host? Just the <client>planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com URL or some path (like /tm1/api/tm1 )? The port I suppose is the HTTPPortNumber from tm1s.cfg
- How should I sign on? I'm hoping Integrated Security will just log on using IBMids / SSO, but I'm not confident. If I select signons and enter User ID / Password, I suppose that is the non-interactive account in PA?
Cheers,
Anssi
