    Good Morning,

we have a working Cognos BI environment, ver 10.2.2 , that has been installed years ago, and is still in use.
We have just configured, for the first time, an email server connection,
in order to be able to schedule some reports and send their output by email.

As soon as we restarted the services,
a lot of reports are being emailed to some users, due to all the tests that they did during the last years,
using the 'Select a delivery method' -> 'Email report' option.

I know that the 'reports to be sent' queue should be stored into the Content Store,
but how can we delete this queue, to prevent old reports to be sent ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Daniele De Boni

    Hi Daniele,

You can follow the below technote to clear pending schedules that are in queue.

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/how-use-ncdrop-script-cognos-analytics-11

This works for 10.2 versions as well.

Also, if you need to stop any future runs of the schedules as well, then go to Manage > Administration Console > Status > Schedules as a system administrator, select all schedules and disable.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

The table in question that you need to clear in the content store is called NC_JMSQUEUE and this table should not contain any data under normal circumstances.

I recommend if you are going to clear the table then you should backup the database before commencing and also ensure the IBM Cognos services are stopped before you truncate the table.
