  • 1.  Cognos connect to COS Bucket

    Hi Team,

           1. Can Cognos connect to COS Bucket?

      1. If so, how to connect?
    1. Can Cognos read a csv file from the COS bucket?
      1. If so, can it read multiple files or only one file?
      2. If multiple files, then can it group all data from csv's into one output?

Please anyone can suggest me ASAP.

    Hi Vijayalakshmi,

Probably not the direct solution you are looking for, but one possible solution is to write a Jupyter notebook which reads in the COS csv files, merges them how you like, then writes the aggregated data to CA as a data source that can be used in Cognos reports, dashboards, etc.

The python CADataConnector class (for connecting to CA and reading/writing CA data assets) is available in the Watson Studio Jupyter notebook environment. (It is also available in the CA Jupyter notebook environment if you are installing this for an on-prem CA environment. )

Various products supported by Dynamic can query in-place files in COS:
    - IBM DV/Watson Query
    - IBM Watson.data
    - IBM Db2
    - Dremio
    - Presto
    - Trino
    ...
