    Hi Folks,

I would like to know if there is any new feature in Cognos 11.2 where we can record the actions we performed and can create a macro for that and then replay those actions when required?

Please let me know if anyone knows about this feature.

    Regards,
    Nikita

    Hi,
With the exception of Framework Manager, there is nothing in the product (that I know of) that records actions taken. You might want to look at some sort of RPA tool (eg UIPath, Automation Anywhere etc) to do this?

Specifically within Framework Manager, this capability has been available for many years. Open an existing model in Framework Manager, and go to Project > View Transaction History. There you will see a log of all the actions taken in the model, and you can select some/all of the steps and save them as a script. You can then use this script to recreate those steps in a new model by going to Project > Run Script and selecting the script you saved.

    Cheers!

    MF.
