  • 1.  Cogbox Not Working for Cognos 12+ version

    I recently downloaded Cogbox and followed the instructions provided at https://pmsquare.com/cogbox-download-2023/01-instructions7a128f24xaaqdcqa105dzaasd521wd4gaw34 to upload it as an extensions. However, I am facing an issue as Cogbox is not reflecting on the UI screen for dashboard/modules creation. I have restarted the services, but the problem persists. I am currently using Cognos V12.0.1.

    Hi,

    I have the same issue with my CA 12.0.1 installation. CogBox was visible in CA 12.0.0 but vanished with the update to the latest version in all views. Home, dashboard, data modules or reporting - it's not there. Fun fact: I can still see it in the features view for role customisation:

    Hi,

    I had the same issue after the upgrade to 12.0.1. Pmsquare has implemented a new security concept. You'll have to create security groups to provide the users now access.

    Without that security groups the CogBox is not displayed in the CA 12 UI

    Yeah, I implemented this as a way to make it easier to add CogBox to a prod environment. This way you can directly control who has access to the various tools without having to create UI profiles. I kept on meaning to update the install instructions but then completely forgot, I'll have them updated as soon as possible.

    Our admin installed CogBox on Cognos Version 12.0.1 and now after logon the blue circle rotates endlessly. I persuaded him to install cogbox and now he's upset with me.

    Can you open the browser's dev toolbar and show the error? Send me an email at pmendelson@pmsquare.com and I'll send you a beta of the latest version, I've been developing it on 12.0.1 and haven't run into any problems.
