    Hi Mike.

    1. I still don't see text wrapping on the external pipeline, can we have an update pls?

    2.  When can we have variables in MDX ?  This is really needed.

    3. Improved export functionality.  Stuart mentioned there was something in CA that IBM were hoping to drop into PAW some time ago.  Is highly limited at present.

    4. Selecting an element and filtering the rest of the dashboard - would give a much nicer user experience.

    5. Did someone mention hyperlinks in cells coming previously?  Calendar selection from a date cell?

    6.  In Workspace we have a choice between publishing and native.  Published tables are great for end users but take time to render and do not look as clean as native.  native tables can be customised to a strong look, but likely need some view MDX -  this takes them beyond the skill of the average end user.  Is there anything in the pipeline that will address this?

    Hi Mike

When will the new Cube Viewer and Subset Editor in PAW become available in PAfe and the Workbench?. New users have to be trained on two different versions of the Subset Editor when using PAFE and PAW.

    Thanks

    Armand,
A new cube viewer will be replacing the Classic cube viewer in Workbench automatically on PA 2.0.78, no feature flag and no migration steps needed.

    Hi,

It would be useful if PAW included more Audit features, and I wondered if that was on IBM's radar.

One such feature would be the user who last updated a Book, and possibly what they updated.

We have encountered a few examples recently where Books were effectively 'broken' because a user had updated and saved a book.

    regards,

    Mark

In PAfE, you can add an Action Button to a sheet and you can drag a process from the Task Pane to the sheet to execute a TI Process.
These behave differently in terms of look and feel, updates, VBA etc.
Why are there two methods? What are the pros/cons of each? Is there a risk mixing and matching from a product support point of view?

Hi George, thanks for the question!

The general recommendation is to use the Action buttons as it generally has more functionality including the ability to publish to websheets.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mike,

When is IBM going to just buy CubeWise and fold Arc and Pulse into the regular PA offering?

More seriously: line-by-line code step-through/over in the PAW process editor, when might one expect to see this?

Is there anything in the works to facilitate automated shut down and restart of TM1 server instances?

Can we get try-catch-finally blocks in TI? Or some other more elegant error handling?

Can we get array/collection variables in TI? (I create/destroy dimensions for this now which works but is fought with peril.)

From an audit perspective, is there anything in the works to provide an user activity audit experience more like that found in Cognos? It would be wonderful to have a cube where I could find out who was using what PAW workbook/cube/subset/view/process etc. and how often.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Mike,

In PAW, the export feature(eg export snapshot to excel) is only limited to 50 sheets.  Are there any plans to expand that limit?  and do you know why there is a 50 sheets limit?

    Thanks.

Edit: Deleted, not a relevant response, was PAfE related, not PAW, sorry.

    Hi,

can you give us an update on replacing log4j version 1.x in PA? AFAIK, all components (Spreadsheet Services, PAW) now use version 2.x, expect PA.
Customers are scanning their systems and asking for an update.

    Thanks

    Hi,

In PAW, is there any way to delete an application item from the application tree as we can do in architect (we can also do it in PAX)?

I don't mean the new applications and plans feature, I mean the other definition of application!

On that front, any proposal to change the name of either of them to avoid any confusion!

    regards,

    Mark

Hi, what's the status of DQR? Is the release still planned for the first half of 22?

    Hi Mike,

In a similar way that you can drop files onto cubes to load in data through PAW is there any way/are there plans to be able to drop a file (in the correct format) onto a process so the process then loads the file? This I believe would be a more powerful tool as you would be able to utilise all the power of TI and would save users having to have access to save and then potentially re-point processes (even if it is through a parameter within the process) to the correct file.

    Many thanks,

    Michael
