    Hello,

this blog post explains how I can add attributes to the view editor:

    Using Attributes in #Planning Analytics

This works fine. But when I create an exploration the attributes from the view editor are gone. How can I add attributes to an exploration?

Showing attributes in the set editor does not keep them and move your selection to the view.
They only seem to be used in the set editor.

You need to add them to the view by right-clicking on the dimension handle.

    Sylwester, George,
I usually Save As ...the set where I selected the attribute to be displayed with the set name and then I use this specific set to make sure I'm getting the aliases displayed.

    Hey George,

thanks for the answer. I have to explain my problem further: Adding the attribute to the view editor is no problem. The problem is: When I switch from the view editor to an exploration the attribute is not shown in the exploration/quick report/dynamic report/custom report:

    View editor:

    Beginndatum_DE is an attribute:

    I create an exploration:

    Exploration does not show attribute:

    Hi Sylwester,
I checked on that behavior and this slicing between exploration and reports options on the cube viewer either old or new Carbon one is as expected regarding the attributes not being passed from the cube viewer to the selected slice.
The attributes are not persistent for the slicing.

Please, post your idea here as it should be an enhancement to the existing functionality.

    Hi Svetlana,

this idea has already been posted:

    https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/PAOC-I-705

I hope it can gain some attention. For me this is a must have feature. I´m not sure why this hasn´t been brought up much more often.

It also looks like this feature is available in PAW:

    Hi Sylwester,
Will support the idea once it is available to "public"

In the meantime, have you tried inserting a column and adding a DBRA formula, or possibly tweaking the MDX to get what you need?
