    Hi,

I've a customer who is trying to change a password (this setup in on premise) and he gets the following screen:

There is no placeholder for the new password and confirm new password!
We have the same issue with all supported browsers.

Users with no expired password can log on properly.

I've seen the following article from the documentation, but it is not related:
Prompt to Change Passwords When Logging on to an Active Directory Namespace

I've also enabled AAA logging to check any relevant error message.

    Best regards,

We use MS Active Directory and SSO - though now with the purge of IE we've moved everyone to Firefox since Edge chromium can't display cubes correctly.  Any necessary AD password maintenance is done through our Windows desktop (ctrl-alt-del then Change Password).

Or are you saying that their AD user account/password is fine except for with Cognos?  Have they purged temporary files and cookies?  Cookies have always been an issue especially when I've upgraded Cognos and now with our users on Firefox, new Firefox updates, which are pretty much weekly, tend to corrupt cookies.  I'm trying to get our IT to push GPO to have FF purge temp files and cookies every time it's closed.  Wish me luck!   = p

    Hi Wayne,

    Thank you for your message.

My customer is not using SSO only AD. He was able to renew the password with Cognos BI v10.2.x and it was working perfectly. Now, he is using Cognos Analytics v11.2.2 and there is something wrong, we are trying to find what is wrong!

We did all the tests with all supported browsers with the same issue each time.

By the way, good luck with your IT!

    Best regards,

    Hi,

    same problem in 11.2.2.
    CA 11.1.7 is ok.
Support case open since 2 weeks. Still no solution.

    Hi,

According to IBM support, it seems to be a known issue:
PH46178 : PASSWORD UPDATE FEATURE DOES NOT UPDATE THE USER'S PASSWORD WHEN IT IS EXPIRED AGAINST AN ACTIVE DIRECTORY PROVIDER.

    Hi,

consider this as a "push": We have the same issues with 11.2.2 and a compatible LDAP (no MS AD). Same issue, sadly.

    Thanks

Since the next release is due out soon, should I wait for the next release?  How do I go about getting CA 11.2.2.0 IF1007 (11.2.2-2206231413)?

    Hi Gerald,

To download the new release copy/paste the following URL into a browser address to display the Select Fixes page and follow the on-page instructions:

    Fix Central URI (WebID required):
    http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/quickorder?parent=ibm+Information+Management&product=ibm/Information+Management/Cognos+Analytics&release=All&platform=All&function=fixId&fixids=11.2.2.0-BA-CA-IF1007:0&includeSupersedes=0&source=fc&login=true

Next release (v11.2.3) is expected by the end of August as far I know. "Expected" means it could be delayed or be released on time...

    Best regards,
