Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.4, 6.2 documentation is refreshed today to include the following enhancements:

Enhancements in COBOL 6.4 with PTFs installed: (For a complete list of Enterprise COBOL PTFs, check https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/604539):

• PH53631: Enhanced the ON EXCEPTION support to deal with exceptions in the non-OO COBOL/Java interoperability framework. (Handling errors in Java-interoperable COBOL applications)
  

Documentation fixes in COBOL 6.4:

- In Programming Guide:

• Added a note to clarify the impact of using different EXIT suboptions with Debug for z/OS. (EXIT)
• Corrected the compile listing behavior for NODLL/DLL compile option for AMODE64 programs in the docs. (Using compiler options to compile AMODE 64 programs)
• Clarified the usage of file record area or buffer for processing. (Optimizing buffer and device space)
  

- In Language Reference:

• Added an example to the REPLACE statement to show how to replace source text. (REPLACE)
• Clarified that do not use the IGY- prefix when you define your own compilation variables. (Predefined compilation variables)

- In Migration Guide:

• Indicated that the literal argument to the CURRENCY option can no longer be the character 'U' or the character 'u'. (COBOL source code differences in Enterprise COBOL 6)

-In Customization Guide:

• Updated the instructions for specifying compiler options in the IGYCOPT macro. (Specifying COBOL compiler options)
