IBM zSystems Federated Advocates: Engaging students with a Panel Discussion on IBM zSystems – The Modern Mainframe
So, what does it means to be an IBM Z Federated Advocate?
Are you an IBMer?
Are you passionate about and eager to share your expertise with the global community on IBM Z and/or LinuxONE while building your eminence?
If you said Yes on both counts, consider becoming an IBM zSystems Federated Advocate – Read On!
(If not, no worries – you can still read on to learn what this program is all about.)
Time and time again, we see that IBM Z and LinuxONE SMEs are passionate technologists who take every opportunity they have to talk about, share their knowledge and expertise to benefit the larger community.

Well, that’s exactly what a Federated Advocate does – sharing their knowledge to inspire students, learners, eduators, developers, New to Z and more!
The mission of the IBM Z Federated Advocate program is to engage and empower our IBM Z and LinuxONE SMEs to participate in our external outreach program through acts of advocacy.
The program enables our IBM Z and LinuxONE SMEs to engage various target audiences who are new to the IBM Z platform, and share the technology, differentiation, benefits and more. Federated Advocates are equipped with the resources, support and tools they need for outreach success. The program brings together over 200 passionate IBM Z SME heroes who are making a difference, building their eminence and helping grow IBM’s global footprint. They are being recognized internally and externally for their acts of advocacy… and having some fun along the way!
What counts as an act of advocacy?
An act of advocacy is a meaningful activity that actively engages the global external developer community. The developers engaged through the activity (act of advocacy) should be net new to IBM Z and LinuxONE.
