Our workshop  “ Artificial Intelligence in Research and Development”

     University of Baghdad (The Computer Center and College of Education for Pure Sciences, Ibn Al-Haitham) held a workshop entitled (Artificial Intelligence in Research and Development on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 25-26, 2025. The workshop included presentations, and explanatory videos, as in the following details:

Our Team from University of Baghdad:

1- Assistant Professor Mr.Saifuldeen A. Muhammad, College of Engineering 

2- Assistant Chief Engineer Abdullah A. Jassim, Head of the AI Unit in Computer Center

The workshop topics:

1- Trusted generative cognitive artificial intelligence (GCI) using IBM WatsonX and its components.

2- OpenRead AI in scientific research, sources, and plagiarism detection in research based on percentages of sources.

3- Trusted cognitive AI applications using IBM Watson for Oncology in healthcare, including tumor detection and treatment.

4- Gen AI applications in genomics and genetics, we had made a detailed demonstration by using Microsoft Copilot365 and the following:

    A- Nvidia EVO 2 models for proteins, RNA, and DNA,

    B- AlphaFold, Google Deepmind,

    C- Microsoft MatterGen model for research and development in the analysis and synthesis of chemical compounds.

The Attendees expressed great interest in the workshop, given its coverage of the latest AI technologies in scientific disciplines. They expressed their desire to organize future workshops on these topics.
