IBM announces the IBM Sterling Supply Chain Suite

By Rebecca Buisan posted Tue October 08, 2019 08:45 AM

I wanted to be sure you saw today’s exciting news. We’ve introduced the IBM Sterling Supply Chain Suite, an open, integrated platform – embedded with AI and blockchain – for building intelligent, self-correcting supply chains.

I’m also happy to share that we’re re-introducing the IBM Sterling brand to the marketplace. As you well know, for years, Sterling has been synonymous with pioneering leadership in B2B integration and distributed order management. Now, IBM Sterling will become an integral part of our commitment to help our customers build smarter business networks, starting with the release of the IBM Sterling Supply Chain Suite.

If you’re asking yourself “what does this mean for me?” The short answer: it’s all upside. None of your current great solutions change and moving forward it will be easier to build on your investment as you continue to grow and evolve.

Our VP of Strategy and Offering Management, Jeanette Barlow, has a great blog post and video about the announcement here.

This launch builds upon the momentum of the past year, which saw a number of major releases including:

  • The launch of the IBM Sterling Inventory Visibility service
  • A major update for IBM Sterling Store Engagement - including Store Inventory Management
  • New Results Explainer for Optimizer
  • The Self-Service Admin Tool - letting clients manage their cloud settings
We’ll be sharing more detail on this news over the coming weeks along with highlighting the key new capabilities we have rolled out in the past year. Watch for more blogs in the user community.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you. Questions? Feedback? Please share in the discussion forums of the community.

I could not be more excited about this news and the momentum behind IBM Sterling.
