Recorded webinars and Ask an Expert replacing live COBOL Migration and Performance Tuning webinars

I would like to thank Mike Chase and Tom Ross for several years of monthly live COBOL Migration and Performance Tuning webinars. These 90 minute+ webinars were well attended by thousands of clients wanting to learn more about recommendations and best practices for migrating from Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 4 and earlier to Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 5 and later, and how to take advantage of advanced optimization technology in the COBOL for z/OS 6 compiler to increase performance of business-critical applications and reduce CPU usage.

With many clients well underway or done with the migration from Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 4 to Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6, and COBOL 4.2's withdrawal of service on 30 April 2022, the final live webinars took place in April 2022 and recordings are now available for viewing.

Replacing the live webinars are the April 2022 downloadable presentations and recorded webinar videos that are offered with closed captioning in English and Japanese, available here. The migration video is also included below:

If you still have questions after watching the webinar videos and would like to contact IBM COBOL experts, use the Ask an Expert form. You may also indicate your preferred date(s) and time(s) for an online meeting with the COBOL experts.

The recorded webinars and Ask an Expert are just some of many COBOL migration resources available to you. See the COBOL Migration Portal for the full set of resources.
