Hello everyone! This is my first ever blog. I was quite confused to pick up a topic. Then I thought of showing you why you should participate in MTM’20 through my journey of MTM’19. Let’s have a look!
Master the Mainframe- is a mainframe programming challenge that is organized annually by IBM Academic Initiative System Z. It is a great start to get hands-on experience to develop valuable skills and earn Digital badges- without any prerequisite !
- Part 1: Learn the basics of navigation, files and programs.
- Part 2: Practice programming languages, operating systems and technologies.
- Part 3: Participate in real-world challenges.
The goal of the contest is to provide students with the opportunity to experience working with mainframes. In 2019 it was the 15th year of this contest!
When I came to know about this contest(2019) I had no idea about Mainframe. But I took a step forward and participated in this contest in late December and I had tried to finish it as soon as possible. And guess what, I was one of the part 2 winners!
After this contest I have joined so many groups of the IBM community and also attend weekly webinars. I got to know about Coursera , Cognitive class , Skills Gateway and manage to earn some exciting badges. And now I am a ZAmbassador! Till now it is a beautiful journey with IBM and Mainframe.
So what are you waiting for? If you know nothing it is the best option to know something. Master the Mainframe is the biggest opportunity to explore new challenges. Don’t stop here! Try to connect with IBMers and The communities. They all are so helpful and always there to show you the correct path.
