IBM AIX: SAP Kernel 916 for SAP S/4HANA® 2025 available

This week SAP released the new SAP® Kernel 916 that also supports SAP application servers on IBM AIX® for the new SAP S/4HANA 2025 .

IBM AIX® stays one of the strategic application server platforms for SAP S/4HANA® .


For SAP® Kernel 916 on AIX, the latest IBM® Open XL C/C++V17.1.3 compiler as well as the brand new IBM® OpenSDK for Rust on AIX® was introduced to enable exploitation of the latest C++ and Rust language features on IBM® Power® hardware.
