The TechXchange Conference has once again cemented its reputation as a powerhouse event for developers and tech enthusiasts from around the world. The energy at this year’s conference was palpable, with over 5000 global attendees coming together to explore cutting-edge technologies, network with industry leaders, and compete in highly anticipated challenges.
Technologist-Focused Energy
From the moment the conference kicked off, it was clear that the heart of the conference lies with the technologists and developers. Attendees dove deep into topics like AI-driven development, cloud infrastructure advancements, cybersecurity, and the future of open-source technologies.

IBM TechXchange Community:
We are thrilled to announce our IBM Community virtual AI assistant. As part of our new community experience, we are embracing AI and putting this technology to work for our community members. Open Source:
Community Day Open-Source welcome kicked off to a full house (900+ in the room) with leaders from Linux Foundation AI & Data, Meta, Intel, and StarTree. IBM continues to have a longstanding open-source commitment with 25 years supporting open source in 100s or projects. From quantum and blockchain to containers, AI, and operating systems, we are actively participating in today’s most influential projects and creating new projects to push technology forward for tomorrow. It was exciting to see this group of developers come together.
Champions of Innovation:
TXC’s champions shone brightly this year. We had over 300+ champions from around the world. Whether they were recognized for their contributions to open-source projects or their influence on developer culture, these tech leaders were an inspiration to all attendees. Special recognition went to those who have significantly impacted the developer community, fostering innovation and growth in the field.
Hack-a-thon Winners:
The highly anticipated TechXchange Hack-a-thon was a major highlight, drawing some of the brightest minds in the developer community. Teams raced against the clock to build creative solutions for real-world problems. The winners delivered a groundbreaking platform for seamless cross-cloud integration, setting a new standard for future hack-a-thons.
The runners-up impressed with their innovative approach to AI-driven healthcare solutions, while other notable projects included advancements in sustainable energy management and secure blockchain applications. Every team brought forward-thinking solutions to the table, and their efforts were celebrated by attendees and judges alike.
1st Prize: Team Daimyo
Solution: A watsonx.ai and Granite-powered app to help restaurants automate and manage the synthesis and analysis data, boosting staff efficiency and saving hours of time.
2nd Prize: Team EY
Solution: An AI assistant that helps individuals manage and prioritize daily tasks and time using .ai, wxA, wxO, and Discovery.
3rd Prize: Team Golden
Solution: A watsonx Orchestrate solution to provide students with personalized academic guidance.
