IBM Workload Automation Agent can now be deployed as a containerized application in the IBM Cloud Private.

IBM Cloud Private provides an integrated environment for managing containers that includes the container orchestrator Kubernetes, a private image repository, a management console, and monitoring frameworks. With IBM Cloud Private, you can deploy the IBM Workload Automation Agent component as a Helm chart to quickly configure and run it as a Docker container application in a Kubernetes cluster. You can then manage the IBM Workload Automation Agent component from the IBM Cloud Private dashboard or from the command line interface.

The IBM Workload Automation Agent component is available with the following options: 
  • Dynamic Agent for developers, at no charge 
  • Dynamic Agent for production, fee-based
With this new release of IBM Workload Automation Agent, you can migrate your workload from traditional on-premises to private cloud. Workload on-premises and workload on cloud (private or public) can even coexist, and you can manage them from a single point of control. 

Private cloud offers the benefits of a public cloud, including rapid deployment and scalability plus ease of use and elasticity, but also provides greater control, increased performance, predictable costs, tighter security and flexible management options. You can customize it to your unique needs and security requirements.
