Let's welcome IBM Z Development and Test Environment (IBM ZD&T) V13.2. We are quite excited to announce the release of V13.2.

So, what's new this time...

We are introducing a new Virtual Machine and Cloud friendly license. This allows any new generated licenses to remain valid even if the underlying hardware of the machine that is running your Software-based License Server changes. Even better news! You only need to return your current license and and request a new one. The new created licenses will automatically be created as VM and Cloud friendly. For additional information, please see

For your security, we are also offering a new signed ZD&T installer. You can validate the completeness of the downloaded package by running a command with the signing certificates that are packaged in the installer file. For more information, see Validating the downloaded installer file

You can now provisioning instances to a Red Hat® OpenShift® target environment in the ZD&T V13.2.0 Enterprise Edition web server. In our previous version, we provided the necessary APIs and we just extended this capability to the user interface. After you create an image, you can provision an instance from the created image to a Red Hat® OpenShift target environment. Additionally, you can convert a created image to a cloud-ready image, and reuse the cloud-ready image for faster subsequent provisioning to this Red Hat® OpenShift environment.

Last but not least, a new Getting Started Checklist for administrators was added to ZD&T V13.2.0 Enterprise Edition web server. The checklist contains the required and optional configuration tasks that need to be done by an administrator to get ZD&T up and running. To view the checklist, click the Account Info icon in the upper right corner and select Checklist.
