It is with great sadness that the IBM Champions program wants to let you all know that we have lost one of our Lifetime Champions. Scott Hayes passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 59.
Scott was an IBM Champion from the first year the program was created, was an IBM Gold Consultant, served on the IDUG Board of Directors, and was a constant presence at both IBM and IDUG events (he was quite proud to have attended all on-site North American conferences). Scott was also the founder and long-time host of the Db2Night Show.
Scott was named an IBM Lifetime Champion in 2019. If you spent even two minutes with Scott, you would understand why, as during that time, he would spend at least half talking about IBM Db2.
Scott is being remembered as a generous mentor, a great friend, and a lover of life and an IBM Lifetime Champion.

We will miss him. He was a big part of Db2 and the IBM family.
