In Cloud Pak for Business Automation v21.0.3, we have made business automation workflow authoring and automation workstream services starter pattern composable, which will allow you to deploy the environment with needed capabilities enabled.

Minimum Deployment

What to choose when run cp4a-deployment.sh

Select the Cloud Pak for Business Automation capability to install:
1) FileNet Content Manager
2) Operational Decision Manager
3) Automation Decision Services
4) Business Automation Application
5) Business Automation Workflow Authoring and Automation Workstream Services
6) IBM Automation Document Processing

Pattern "Business Automation Workflow Authoring and Automation Workstream Services":

Select optional components:
1) Case
2) Content Integration
3) Workstreams
Tips: Press [ENTER] to accept the default (None of the components is selected)
Enter a valid option [1 to 3 or ENTER]:

Select 5 for capability to install and press enter without any optional components selected.

What you can do

In this deployment, you can

1. create Process Apps in BAStudio and manage the lifecycle of the Process Apps.
2. author BPMN process, coach flow, service flow, external service in Web Process Designer and playback them using BPMN playback Server.
3. manage process instances, process apps and the server in Process Admin Console
4. work on process and human task, using save search in Workplace and Process Portal.

What you can not do

There is no document store functionality for BPMN process.
