There is a community thread available that discusses last year's (2021) announcements on the elimination of the OSA-Express adapter support on IBM Z. It shows how the Communications Server for Data Center Deployment can help to mitigate or migrate support  for LLC2 (802.3 SNA over Ethernet) with distributed platforms.
