Innovation happens naturally when trying to solve your own internal problems. At least, that has always been the case within UrbanCode. ​

In this ebook, we recount how UrbanCode Velocity (now DevOps Velocity) came to be.       

Years ago, we desperately needed to figure out how to balance planned work; work which is in-scope for an iteration, against unplanned work.

We tried a few different approaches, many of which are probably familiar. Ultimately, we created a new tool that started to bring immense value to the UrbanCode team. And we quickly realized that other organizations could benefit from seeing their software value stream details in the same way. ​
