IBM® CICS® Transaction Server (TS) for z/OS® Version 6 Release 2 (6.2) soon to be generally available (and available via an IBM open beta program now)

IBM CICS is constantly evolving. IBM CICS TS 6.2 is now available in an open beta program and is targeted to be generally available as early as June 2024. Some of the new features included in this new release are:

n  Security enhancements to support a Zero Trust Framework

n  Developer productivity enhancements including support for Java™ release 17 and enhanced container support (CICS TS 6.2 supports pre-pending data to a container using a new option PREPEND on the PUT CONTAINER (CHANNEL), PUT64 CONTAINER, and PUT CONTAINER (EXCI) commands)

n  Enhanced health checks can now be performed to alert users to the use of stabilized technology in CICS regions
