At this year’s IBM TechXchange in Orlando (October 6–9), the IBM Cloud team took center stage, driving the conversation around the future of hybrid cloud, multicloud, and AI infrastructure. Through live demos, deep-dive labs, dynamic partner and client showcases, we didn’t just talk about transformation—we showed it in action. Whether powering AI agents, enabling secure hybrid deployments, or co-innovating with partners, the Cloud team made it clear: IBM Cloud is the backbone of enterprise innovation.
Below are key highlights from our impactful presence at the event.
IBM Cloud Sessions and Labs

Here’s a look at the top-attended IBM Cloud sessions and labs that captivated audiences and showcased IBM’s leadership in hybrid cloud and AI infrastructure.

🚀 IBM Cloud Roadmap: Accelerate Innovation in a Hybrid World
Session ID: 2796
This session set the stage for IBM Cloud’s vision in 2025 and beyond. As enterprises juggle applications across mainframes, VMs, containers, and AI platforms, they’re seeking a consistent experience across on-prem and cloud environments. IBM Cloud is rising to meet that challenge.
Attendees got an exclusive look at new capabilities driving innovation in complex hybrid environments:
- AI-ready infrastructure including Red Hat AI and watsonx services.
- Virtualization enhancements with IBM Cloud VPC and OpenShift Virtualization.
- Cloud-native platforms for secure, scalable application development using OpenShift, observability tools, and robust data services.
The session made it clear: IBM Cloud is not just keeping up with hybrid demand—it’s redefining what’s possible for enterprise innovation at scale.
🤖 AI Agentic-Ready Infrastructure: Powering the Future of Autonomous IT Operations
Session ID: 3689
One of the most forward-looking sessions of the conference, this unveiling introduced attendees to agentic-ready infrastructure—IBM’s bold vision for the autonomous IT operations of tomorrow.
Two key innovations were front and center:
- Seamless AI Assistants across IBM platforms, allowing intuitive, cross-product interactions that simplify everything from deployment to incident response.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, enabling AI agents to invoke infrastructure-level actions across hybrid systems, from cloud to Z to Power and beyond.
With AI transforming enterprise operations at every level, this session resonated deeply with technical leaders ready to embrace intelligent automation. The message was clear: the future of IT isn’t just smart—it’s self-driving.
💰 Reduce Costs and Optimize Cloud Resources on IBM Cloud
Lab ID: 1790
This hands-on lab struck a chord with enterprises looking to balance innovation with cost control and sustainability. Guided by FinOps and GreenOps principles, participants explored IBM’s suite of cost management and carbon tracking tools, including:
- Resource optimization via detailed cost and usage reporting
- Flexible billing and automation tools for financial efficiency
- The IBM Cloud Carbon Calculator to measure and reduce environmental impact
This lab showcased IBM’s leadership in creating cloud strategies that are both financially and environmentally sustainable, a growing priority across industries.
🧪 Building AI Workflows with Data Science Pipelines on IBM Cloud
Lab ID: 1829
AI development is increasingly about workflow orchestration, and this lab brought that to life. Using Red Hat OpenShift AI on IBM Cloud, attendees built real data science pipelines that automated:
- Data preparation
- Model evaluation
- Inference testing within a cluster
Participants saw firsthand how to scale AI workflows using pipeline nodes in Python, turning what’s often a messy, manual process into a repeatable, production-grade system. The lab reinforced how OpenShift AI empowers teams to move faster, with greater control and clarity in AI development.
From roadmap sessions to cutting-edge AI labs, IBM TechXchange 2025 made one thing clear: IBM Cloud is no longer just a platform—it’s a strategic enabler of intelligent enterprise transformation.
Whether you're looking to modernize infrastructure, reduce cloud spend, or operationalize AI, IBM Cloud offers the tools, vision, and ecosystem to make it happen—securely, sustainably, and at scale.
IBM Cloud Community & Client Appreciation Day

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday, October 5th for IBM Cloud Community & Client Appreciation Day—your energy, insights, and collaboration made the event a true highlight of TechXchange 2025. With over 100 attendees and 9 IBM Champions, the afternoon was packed with meaningful dialogue, technical previews, and co-creation sessions that helped shape the future of IBM Cloud.
We kicked off with a keynote from Jason McGee and Sean Flanagan, followed by technical deep dives into AI agentic-ready infrastructure and enterprise virtualization. Panels on AI workloads, cloud-native applications, and mission-critical systems like SAP RISE and PowerVS sparked rich discussions, while design thinking workshops invited attendees to co-create solutions directly with IBM Cloud team members.
Your participation helped make IBM Cloud Community Day a vibrant space for innovation. We’re excited to continue building with you—see you next year!
IBM Cloud Booth Activity Walls
