Basically you need not upgrade IBM Content Navigator (ICN) environment or  any configurations you have made  to update IBM Daeja ViewONE Virtual. It is as simple as replacing IBM ViewONE Virtual jars in your existing environment.

Following are the steps to update Viewer without impacting any other configuration.

1. Stop the Application Server
2. Locate jiserver*.jar in your BAW/Navigator application (Example paths for reference mentioned below)
3. Backup all jiserver* jar files from path located in above step (Ensure your backup files stored outside AppServer paths)
4. Copy all jiserver* jar files obtained from released Daeja ViewONE package (server\WEB-INF\lib\*) to path located in step 2. (This will replace all jiserver* jars )
5. Copy contents of v1files from released Daeja ViewONE package (client\v1files\*) to <AppServer>\navigator.ear\navigator.war\applets\iviewpro\FnJavaV1Files\
6. Copy Annot.xsl from released Daeja ViewONE package (client\Annot.xsl) and replace in <AppServer>\navigator.ear\navigator.war\WEB-INF\xsl\
7. Start the Application server.​

Note : Not all versions of IBM Daeja ViewONE officially supported to integrate with any ICN version (Though above steps may make integration work in unsupported combinations). Refer Daeja ViewONE / ICN release notes understand minimum supported versions of integrations.
