The free trial of IBM Cognos Analytics has been updated to version 11.1.0, the same version that is now available in the multi-tenant version of IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud.  You can now try all of the new end-user capabilities available in this release:

• The highly innovative Explore experience that reveals information about your data, enabling you to find new insights.
• Faster and easier report creation
• The improved ease of constructing reports within the reporting environment.
• The new formatting and layout capabilities within dashboards.
• The new visualizations added to reports and dashboards, including Marimekko, Sunburst, and Driver Analysis.
• Creation of data modules is now easier, and new features have been added, such as:

These new capabilities are available today in our  new, competitively priced Premium Cloud version of IBM Cognos Analytics, and will be available soon for on-premises  and dedicated cloud versions of the product.

Because none of the content from the previous version of the IBM Cognos Analytics trial will be brought forward to the new trial, the previous version will be available until November 30, 2018.  You can access the new IBM Cognos Analytics trial at https://www.ibm.com/products/cognos-analytics.  When you select to ‘Start your free trial’, you are directed to sign up for the new trial, but you can also access the previous version of the trial by clicking the link, “Access the older version of the trial for Cognos Analytics here.”

You may access both versions of the trial, but take note of when you created your account on the previous version of the trial - accounts are deleted 90 days from when they were created, or after 30 days of inactivity.
