May 2024 documentation refresh for Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.3

Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.3 documentation is refreshed today to include the following enhancements:

Enhancements in COBOL 6.3 with PTFs installed: (For a complete list of Enterprise COBOL PTFs, check https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/604539):

  • Runtime APAR PH61133 (V2R4 or later): You can use ddname IGZPROUT at the run step of your JCL to generate a report of all COBOL 5 or later programs that are called dynamically, statically, and via DLL linkage. (Generating a report of COBOL programs)

  • Added a note indicating that changing the NUMPROC option can lead to different behavior if there is invalid data, so thorough testing should be done. (NUMPROC)
  • Added a note indicating that changing the TRUNC option can lead to different behavior if there is invalid data, so thorough testing should be done. (TRUNC)
